PEDAGOGY

The curriculum at VIS is designed to stimulate curiosity and lasting passion for learning. It supports children into becoming poised, accountable, insightful and innovative individuals ready to take on the challenges of the future.

The emphasis is on providing child-centric education, and keeping this in mind, we offer learning that is interdisciplinary, collaborative and experiential.

SOCIAL WELFARE

The curriculum is taught with a ‘prosocial‘ lens, ensuring that it cultivates compassion in our children; hones them into becoming humane and sensitive adults ready to serve society.

INNOVATIVE PRACTICES

Our classrooms are inter-active and fun filled, packed with creative, collaborative and exploratory activities for deeper and more experiential learning. The school also lays the framework for art integrated learning (AIL) - learning ‘through the arts’ and ‘with the arts’.

Experiential Learning :-

Learning through experience

EL is a powerful foundational approach of learning, by doing. By engaging students in hands-on experiences and reflection, they are better able to connect theories and knowledge learned in the classroom to real-world situations. The process equips them into becoming better problem solvers, decision makers and also supports performance improvement, learning and development.

The experiential learning cycle is a four-step learning process that is applied multiple times in every interaction and experience:
Experience – Reflect – Think – Act.

It’s a learning process initiated by a concrete experience wherein participants engage in a learning activity which demands reflection, review and perspective-taking about the experience; then abstract thinking to reach conclusions and conceptualize the meaning of the experience; leading to a decision to act, engaging in active experimentation or trying out what you’ve learned.
