World Polio Day Celebrations@VIS

On 24 October 2024, the Interact Club of VIS, in collaboration with the Rotary Govinda Interact Club, celebrated World Polio Day. The event saw participation from several schools across Delhi/NCR. Students from VIS took part in a human formation and performed a nukkad natak (street play) on the theme of a 'Polio-Free World'. The event concluded with a roadshow near the Dwarka Sports Complex and was a great success.

    Green Diwali Celebrations@VIS

    Class 3 students decorated beautiful diyas for a sustainable Diwali. They used bright colours and natural materials, promoting a "Green Diwali". These diyas will light up their homes and help protect the environment during the festival of lights. Students also gifted some beautiful Diyas and sweets to school helpers, spreading spirit of festivity all around. Classes 1 and 2 engaged in lively role-plays and recitals from the Ramayana, deepening their connection to cultural heritage.

      Diwali Exhibition@VIS

      The Diwali Exhibition at our school promoted sustainability and entrepreneurship, featuring eco-friendly products like cloth bags, earthen diyas, pickles, and earrings made by students. It reinforced the importance of sustainable alternatives and endorsed a Green Diwali. The initiative successfully inspired the school community to adopt more eco-conscious practices and celebrate a meaningful and mindful Diwali.

        An Exhilarating Educational Tour

        October commenced with an amazing educational trip to Sariska for students of class V.
        Jungle Safari in the Sariska Tiger Reserve rejuvenated one and all followed by star gazing and observing constellations, sprinkled with exciting team-building activities and an informative workshop on Hydro - Rocketry.

          VIS Alumna Makes a Mark at ET Business Leaders' Summit
          VIS Alumna Ananya Rai, the youngest and only female youth representative on the panel, participated in the ET Business Leaders’ Summit which recognized top industrialists in North India . The  panel discussed  the role of industries in achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047. Ananya shared her insights on the modern youth's vision for a developed nation . The notable panelists included government representatives and successful industrialists . The event also welcomed esteemed guests such as Smt. Anupriya Patel, Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers and Shri Rajendra Agrawal, former MP and  Bollywood celebrity Kunal Kapoor as a guest of honour.

            VIS Students win at IIT Delhi

            VIS students Trinabh Marwah and Achyut Kumar of Class XII participated in CodeDay at IIT Delhi, a prestigious event featuring a series of programming workshops followed by an intense coding competition. Their exceptional efforts earned them a Special Mention Award, highlighting their skill and dedication. Congratulations to them for making us proud!

              VIS students win at Bal Bhavan International School

              We are proud to share that Medhansh Dutta (VIII) and Neev Agarwal (VI) secured second position in  the event 'Aavishkar under Technovation' organised by Bal Bhavan International School. They made a working model on SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation and presented innovative solutions to reduce, reuse and recycle water.

                Awareness session on the occassion of World Food Day

                On the occasion of World Food Day, a workshop was organized by the Go Sharpener Group in collaboration with Zomato- feeding India at VIS for students of classes IV and V, along with their parents. The students gained valuable insights into different food groups and the benefits of maintaining a healthy and balanced diet and prevention of Malnutrition .

                  UNFOLD YOUR EPICS

                  VIS Reader's Crew students of Classes IX–XII presented a stage show of uncommon episodes from the Ramayana during their event, UNFOLD YOUR EPICS. It was a breathtaking presentation that left the audience speechless. The honourable chief guest, Ms. Madhu Seth, an eminent singer and writer, also motivated the audience with her words of wisdom.

                      Events galore@VIS on the occassion of World Heart Day

                      On the occasion of World Heart Day, the Scientia Club of VIS organised a series of impactful events aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being. These events aimed to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining blood pressure and blood sugar for a healthy heart as well as the significance of CPR in emergency situations through games and demonstrations.

                        Adventure packed excursion to Ranthambore

                        VIS, Sector-10, Dwarka, organised an enriching three-day educational trip to Ranthambore for students of class VIII from 6-8 October 2024.The adventure-packed journey seamlessly blended fun, learning, and cultural immersion as students visited the Ranthambore Natonal park for animal spotting, and the Ranthambore Fort to gain insight of India's rich culture and heritage. Apart from team building games, participation in the hand- block printing activity at the 'Dastkar' NGO introduced students to local crafts and artisans, promoting appreciation for traditional skills.

                          Empowering Young Minds through Stories and Technology

                          In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Department of School Education and Literacy, our school hosted a Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya workshop for Classes VI-VII, providing access to a vast world of digital reading. This interactive session enriched our young learners' experience in the digital age. Meanwhile, Classes IX-X participated in the Amrit Kaal - Story Writing Competition on "Vikshit Bharat: The Dream of Our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi," guided by our English faculty.
